Quality: Schlesinger standards of accuracy
All reconditioning work is carried out to Schlesinger standards of accuracy. Georg Schlesinger’s geometric tests — for straightness, flatness, parallelism, squareness and spindle run-out — are the foundation of modern machine tool acceptance testing, and they give an objective measure of whether a machine is fit to cut.
Machines are restored to the original manufacturer’s specification, and checked before they leave our workshop.

Machine Tool Refabrication and Sales cc is committed to operating in a way that protects our employees, clients and site visitors, and limits our impact on the environment. Meeting legal requirements is our minimum standard for health, safety and environmental compliance.
Our objectives
- Prevent harm, injury and health hazards to everyone in our workshops and on site.
- Prevent damage, loss and risk to equipment and property.
- Comply fully with all applicable legislation.
- Enforce compulsory personal protective equipment: goggles, ear protection, gloves, hard hats and safety shoes.
- Reduce our environmental footprint through controlled waste disposal and noise reduction.
